Grief is not an experience to be endured. It is a sacred experience of love. It is not the absence of love you are feeling. It is love revealing itself in another form. Grief is a signpost that your love is potent. That it continues on in the formless eternity. Notice your thoughts as you grieve. You miss your beloved yet they are right here. Closer now than when they were alive. Do you know this? Do you feel this? Grief can be a temporary barrier to experiencing the spirit of your beloved right now. Transform grief by feeling it fully. Cease attaching to it, thoughts, memories, stories, resistence. Notice when you reminisce on the past. Notice shades of regret and worry. Breathe them in. Breathe them through. Do not let your mind linger there. Linger instead in the sensation of your heart. Where grief and love are two sides of the same coin. Where the aching of loss is the sensation of love. Grief is not loss. It is love. Let us practice this. And feel it in our bodies.
